Academic Coaching
Academic coaching is a free support service through The Learning Center that is available to all PSU students. Students work with coaches one-on-one to create measurable plans to meet their academic goals and receive custom-tailored tools to fit their needs.

Information for Syllabus/Canvas
Academic coaching is a free support service through The Learning Center that is available to all PSU students. Students work with coaches one-on-one to create measurable plans to improve school/life balance, study strategies, reading retention, organization, test prep, and more.
Coaches can also come to your class, group, or meeting to talk about the services in the Learning Center, for a shorter 15 minute presentation. Email mycoach@pdx.edu to request this.
What are ROADS presentations?
The ROADS to Success presentation series is designed to help students improve their academic performance, strengthen their goals, and become better learners. Faculty and staff can request presentations for their class or group at any time.
Tutoring Services
We offer peer tutoring in a number of lower division STEM classes and some world languages. Students can book one-on-one appointments through Penji or visit our Drop-in Learning Lab. A direct link to Penji can be added to your course navigation bar in Canvas (select your course, click settings, choose Navigation, add Penji).
Embedded Tutoring Program
We offer Embedded Tutors/Supplemental Instruction Leaders to be placed in select courses. We prioritize STEM courses with high DFW rates (below 80% completion) that have enrollment of 50+ students.

A direct link to Penji can be added to your course navigation bar in Canvas.
•Log into Canvas
•Select your course
•Click Settings
•Choose Navigation
•Drag Penji to wherever you want it to appear
on your navigation list
Other Resources
With Student Lingo Workshops, students can access 24/7 online support, ensuring that they receive the resources they need whenever they need them. Faculty members can also utilize these workshops in their classes, enhancing the learning experience for all students.
